Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Dogmatic.
The concept is simple. Take a fresh baguette, drive a hot metal stake up the center of said baguette to lightly toast the inside and to make some room for El Dog. Coat the inside of the baguette with oozing mint yogurt sauce, or how about horseradish mustard? Even truffle gruyere or cheddar jalapeno sauce could work! Then insert a piping hot, freshly crafted sausage. Lamb, turkey, beef, pork, chicken - pick any wiener you like!
There she is. Deeeelicious.
This Union Square lunch spot had humble beginnings as a street cart in the West Village. As popularity grew over the past couple of years, they blossomed into a legitimate sausage-ramming destination. Nearly everything at Dogmatic is locally sourced. The baguettes hail from a small Queens bakery. The sausages come from organic and grass-fed animals on small local farms. And it's TOTALLY DELICIOUS.
